This review of the Stamina Body Trac Glider 1050 was based on the feedback from users of the product and extensive research on the internet combining Stamina manufacturer's pages and active forums.
Overview
It seems that overall although you pay a budget price the rower itself is sturdy and well constructed. Most of the reviews commented that the machine was well built and surprisingly easy to fit together with the included tools that were shipped with it.
Many were also taken aback by the quality of the workout they received from such a low cost rowing machine.

Pros
- Great for persons who have limited space available to them. With dimensions of only 23.5 inches by 46 inches long this is a compact piece of equipment.
- It features a good sturdy construction made from steel and aluminium.
- Includes a computer that offers numerous details on your workout, including workout time, distance, number of strokes, speed, amount of calories burnt, total strokes since purchase. This cuts out when not in use to save power.
- Closely mimics the actual rowing action.
- Folds away for easy storage so you can keep it in a closet when not in use. When folded it measures under 49 inches by 12 inches by 10 inches.
- You control the amount of resistance the rowing action needs. Gas is used to provide a smooth resistance feedback.
- Weighs 38 pounds. Amazon offers free shipping for this rower.
- Can offer a good workout to the taller person also due to the longer track. Longer than most rowers.
- Very easy to assemble. Comes with its own tools. Less than 15 minutes from opening the box to completion.
- Can be squeaky until warmed up.
- No documentation on how to use the rower is included. Videos are readily available on the internet however. Here's a good one for rowing technique on water that is close to what you will experience with the Stamina Body Trac Glider 1050. VIDEO
- Those with smaller feet may have trouble keeping them in the footrests. A few people have posted their solutions to this on Amazon.

On the whole, I don't think anyone could find a better rowing machine than this anywhere near this price. It provides an effective workout and is made of sturdy material. This is a five star machine.
I'm an old hand at exercising. This rowing machine is really a bargain. It is durable, functional, easily assembled, and easily stored. It is a great alternative to walking everyday and provides variety in your workout program that is beneficial. Works numerous muscle groups. I highly recommended it as an aerobic exercise for those on the go. Also, it is compact and can be used while watching television. OVERALL. A GREAT BUY.
I reviewed a LOT of equipment before buying this. I don't think there was a better choice out there. Even if I had more money to spend, this still would have been the better choice. Really great workout - easy or as hard as you make it. The time, calorie and row-count indicators are easy to read and helpful to keep track of your progress during the workout.
